Can you give me a few more details about the laptop? Specifically, what model or the service tag for the laptop? In general make sure you are using the latest version of G4L software as that will allow it support the newer types of hardware.

I've burned the g4L iso file to CD and my machine won't boot to it. I've tried two CD's and a thumb drive. None have worked. The machine is a Dell Inspiron laptop and runs Windows XP.
Thanks in advance.

If it is a very new machine, you may have to wait a bit for the G4L project to update the linux kernel so it will recognize your hardware. You can also try the next kernel version by changing which one you boot to at the first screen. If neither of those work I would suggest checking G4L support forum on Sourceforge to post something about or you may search your model number and find that someone already has a solution.
